Boiler passivation chemicals are specialized water treatment chemicals used to create or restore a protective passive oxide layer on the internal metal surfaces of a boiler after installation, repair or chemical cleaning.
This passivated layer (often magnetite or other oxide) slows down corrosion by shielding the bare metal from oxygen and corrosive environments inside the boiler.

• Passivation is a chemical process that makes metal surfaces less reactive and less prone to corrosion by forming a stable oxide film on the metal.
